Cold store protection

During the preserving season, the cold store is subjected to changing circumstances which affect, for example, the temperature and pressure. Some varieties are directly affected by atmospheric changes in your cold store and need adequate protection against this. For optimum protection, Besseling offers a wide range of proven protection and detection equipment.

Buffer lung
Through the cooling and heating of air, the volume of air in the cold store is constantly subjected to change. In order to neutral these variations, a buffer lung is inserted. The excess air in the cold store is captured in it and, if necessary, returned to the cell (by reduced pressure). Subsequently, the undesired penetration of oxygen-rich fresh air in the cold store is prevented.

High pressure/low pressure protection
Pressure fluctuations have a big influence on the construction of a closed CA/ULO cell. Without protection, the ceiling and walls can crack or break. Our high pressure/low pressure valves offer the ideal solution.

Aeration ventilator
The aeration ventilator keeps the CO2 percentage low during the storage and chilling period and brings controlled oxygen into the cell during preservation, based on O2 measurements.

Micro pressure gauge & Hand analyser valve
The micro pressure gauge is used for controlling high and low pressure in the cold stores. The hand analyser valve can be used for taking gas samples from the cold store.
