Through protected atmosphere packaging or MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging), the shelf life of packaged foods can be extended by several days. Fresh meat, assorted cold meats, fish, shellfish, fresh but not sliced vegetables and fruit, as well as dried foods such as biscuits and dried fruit are more frequently being packaged in this way.
The gases used for creating the desired atmosphere in MAP are: oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Each packed product requires its own gas composition. Our equipment is able to produce every desired gas mixture cost-effectively on-site
We supply extremely accurate O2 and CO2 metres for monitoring the gas mixture in MAP.
