History

The Zwaag area is traditionally known for growing fruit. The Besseling family, who are also from this part of West Friesland, have been active within this branch for more than 75 years. The Besseling firm was already well aware of the importance of good preserving techniques and in the 1950's they built the first coldstores. A logical second step was an interest in Controlled Atmosphere preservation and as a result the first CO2 scrubbers were built. The great demand for this equipment from market gardeners led to the formation of Besseling Agri-Technic B.V. and subsequently Besseling Industry-Technic B.V.

In the meanwhile, the Besseling Group has grown into a company that controls almost all the facets of climate control. The company delivers a wide range of high quality installations, both nationally and internationally. It specialises in the individual needs of every client, providing an extremely professional service with a sharp eye for innovation.
